My dear parishioners,
These are difficult times for our society in general and the Church in particular. Our routines have changed drastically. We are no longer able to gather together for the time being as one community of faith around the table of the Eucharist. But we should not drop our hands. Rather we should keep them raised in prayer, so that the Lord may come to our rescue to put an end to this coronavirus pandemic. Please, know that Fr. Emmanuel and I are constantly praying for you the good people of God. Should you need our assistance or our guidance, please do not hesitate to call the rectory. We are available. I encourage you my parishioners to check on one another over the phone during this crisis, and to pray for one another. We ask the intercession of our Blessed Mother to obtain for us the graces we need at this time. To assist you in your personal prayer, please see below the prayer of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, that you can also use. God bless you always. Be safe.
Prayer of Pope Francis asking for the intercession of our Blessed Mother in this time of trial.
You shine continuously on our journey
as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who, at the Cross,
united with Jesus’ pain,
keeping your faith firm.
You know what we need,
and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that,
as at Cana of Galilee,
joy and celebration may return
after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the will of the Father
and to do what Jesus tells us.
He who took our suffering upon Himself,
and burdened Himself with our sorrows
to bring us, through the Cross,
to the joy of Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas — we who are put to the test —
and deliver us from every danger. O glorious and blessed Virgin.
