Religious Education

Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)

The vitality and the vibrancy of the parish are also measured by its Religious Education program. It is important that students who attend public schools be registered for religious education in the parish every year, not only for immediate preparation for the sacraments.

The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) currently called Religious Education provides weekly religious instruction to many children in our community with a staff of dedicated catechists. Our weekly Religious Education Program is held on Sundays between 9:45 am and 10:45 am, after which students together with their parents and teachers attend the Parish Mass at 11:00 am. An important component of the Sacramental Program is a series of meetings with parents to help them work more effectively with their children in understanding the sacraments and in deepening their faith.  For registration and information, call the rectory at 718-282-7162.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Adults who have never been baptized or who were baptized in other denominations, and wish to join our Catholic Faith are invited and encouraged to register in our RCIA Program. This program prepares adults to know more about the Catholic faith and receive the sacraments or be admitted into full communion in the Church. This program is under the supervision of Father Raphael Munday. Anyone interested in the RCIA Program or if you know of any adult who may benefit from this program, please contact the rectory office at 718-282-7162.
